He was predeceased by: his parents, Roland Conkling and Melba Conkling (Walker). He is survived by: his wife Dora "Winkie" Manuel Conkling of Rock Falls; his children, Jill Thomas (Danny) of Chandler, AZ and Jon Conkling of Phoenix, AZ; his stepson Daniel Clapp of Chilhowie, VA; his sister Debra Galvan of Dixon; his grandchildren, Cortney, Cole, James, Carson Thomas, Kevin Tena and Jonny Conkling; and his little Puggle Josie. He is also survived by wife, cherished children and grandchildren, and many, many friends.
A memorial has been established in his honor at Safe Haven Humane Society 1471 US Highway 20 Elizabeth IL 61028.
