He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Daniel Cruse and Florence Cruse (Yocum); his siblings, Elwood (Helen), Mick (Marge), Daniel Jr., Donald (Laverne), Pete (Shirley) and Jean Rock; his daughters, Connie McClard and Linda Lauer; his grandchildren, Mary Johanna Cruse and Terry McNich; his stepson Greg Schutt; his son-in-law Larry Lauer; his former wife Mary Browder; his daughter Mary McCarver (Russ) of Mendota; his wife Betty Schutt of Rock Falls; his son-in-law Eddie McClard; his grandchildren, Edward McClard (Rosie), Emily Price (Tim), Daniel Lauer (Casey), Dustin McCarver (Kristine) of Yorkville, David McCarver (Molly) of Amboy, Michael McCarver (Alexis) of Mendota, Tyler Schutt, Trevor Schutt and Christine May Morris; his foster child DeeDee Ward (Andy); his great grandchildren, Ava, Heather, Joseph, Sal Jr., Ebony, Dominic, Kamri, Saige, Melody, Leah, Lara, Griffin and Eamonn; his great great grandchildren, Kylo and Levitt; and his pet Heidi. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.
