He is survived by: his children, Denise Zigwalt of Dennison, Iowa, Darron Meinsma of Albia and James Barnes Jr. (Deb) of Stillwater, Okla.; and his siblings, Darlene Koser (Henry) of Lanark, Ronald Meinsma of Savanna and Harlan Meinsma of Edgeley, ND. He is also survived by six grandchildren.
