He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald C. Willhite and Helen L. Willhite (Insley); and his brother Frank. He is survived by: his wife Connie L. Reed; his sons, John Willhite (Debbie) of Lyndon and Donald Willhite of Rock Falls; his sister Donna Willhite of Sterling; and his grandchildren, Meagon Willhite, Ryan Willhite, Michael Willhite, Eliza-Lynn McNinch and Kalina Willhite.

Memorials may be made to the 1st Christian Church or to the Rock Falls American Legion Post 902 Honor Guard.
