He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Beattie and Helen Beattie (Tarner); his wife Alberta Mae Davis; his daughter Patricia Snitchler; his son-in-law Rod Scott; his siblings, Virginia Gustafson, Sam and Bob Beattie; and his great grandchild Jameson Miller.
He is survived by: his children, Susan Scott of Rock Falls, Sharon Miller (Ken) of Sterling and Tim Beattie of Belvidere; his son-in-law Ron Snitchler of Rock Falls; his sisters, Ruth Allen of Owatonna, MN and Bev Anderson (Marvin) of Walnut; his sister-in-law Bev Beattie of Rock Falls; his grandchildren, Kelly Schryver (Trent), Matt Miller (Jerrika), Riley Scott (Katie), Haley Scott and MacKenzie Beattie; and his great grandchildren, Abbie, Ryan Schryver and Chevella McPherson.
