He was predeceased by: his parents, Dale Conkling and Ann Dace; his brother Danny Conkling; his stepgranddaughter Jade Garza; and his stepson Derik Garza.

He is survived by: his wife Debbie; his children, Adam Harley Conkling (Gena), Amanda Gutierrez (Tony), Robert Bertolozzi (Jamie), James Sathoff (Mary) and Christopher Garza (Janette); and his siblings, Barbara Ann Noon and Jerry Conkling (Diane). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, it is requested that memorials be given in his memory to Harvest Time Bible Church or Happy Tails Shelter.
