He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Dettman and Dorothy Dettman (McKee); and his brother Robert Dettman. He is survived by: his wife Beth Dettman of Rock Falls; his children, Brandon Dettman (Megan) of Oregon, IL, Timothy Dettman of Rock Falls, Paige Lee (Eric) of Rock Falls and Adam Dettman of Nashville, TN; his sisters, Linda Miller of Machesney Park, Phyllis Houck of Sterling and Marilyn Wessels (Thomas) of Sterling; his grandchildren, Nathaniel of Oregon, IL, Averie of Oregon, IL, Brantley of Oregon, IL and Breeleigh Dettman of Oregon, IL; and his nieces and nephews, Steven Miller, Brent Miller (Wendy), Michele Gallardo and Jacob Wessels (Vanessa).
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 6:00 PM at the Harvest Time Bible Church (1802 Dixon Rd, Rock Falls, IL 61071). A memorial service was held on Tuesday, January 14th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location.
