It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lucy Geraldine Sailors of Rock Falls, Illinois, born in Bloomington, Wisconsin, who passed away on October 31, 2020, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her mother Clara Louisa Garthwaite; her husband John Sailors; her father Melvin Garthwaite; her sister Helen Garthwaite; and her grandchildren, Denise Leuthold (Newton) and Jeffrey Dobson.
She is survived by: her daughters, Diane Newton (Doug) of Peoria, IL, Carol Dobson (Steve) of Maple Grove, MN and Janet Helland (Peter) of Greenwood, IN; and her grandchildren, Deanna Bachmann (Clint), Brian Dobson (Jennie), Scott Dobson (Shannon Kelsey-Dobson), Kris Birkholz (Nate), Sue Heijermans (Jordan) and Phil Helland (Alissa). She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren and 2 spouses; and, a great-great- grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Gerry's name to Faith Baptist Church in Sterling, Illinois.
