He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Edward and Anna Christina Stern (Fulfs); his siblings, Lawrence, Donald, Harold Stern and Vera Kelm; and his close friend Eva Fritz.
He is survived by: his former spouse Jean Smith; and his children, Wes Stern (Cyndi) of Rock Falls, Audrey Stern Rock Falls (Phil Swanson) and Cindy Kitchen (Randy) of Dixon. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Memorials may be made in his memory to the Rock Falls Eagles Club.
