It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Guillermo Garza (Rock Falls, Illinois), born in San Benito, Texas, who passed away on June 10, 2020, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Poncho and Manuela Garza (Cantu); his wife Mary Ann Castillo; and his siblings, Adam Garza and Aurora Porter.
He is survived by: his children, Rose Garza (Traci) of Texas City, TX, Norma Medrano (Victor) of Rock Falls, Laura Garza (John Day) of Rock Falls, Jasmine Garza (Jeremy Vondra) of Rock Falls, Guillermo Garza Jr. (Angie) of Castle Rock, CO and Ruben Garza of Rock Falls; and his sisters, Ofelia Markovich (Joe) of Omaha, NE, Bertha Pena of Dallas, TX, Esmeralda Martinez of Harlingen, TX and Mary Vallejo of Corpus Christi, TX. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
