He is survived by: his wife Karen Wiersema; his children, Jason Buis (Faith) of Morrison, Josh Buis (Colony) of Sterling and Michele Buis of Sterling; his grandchildren, Duncan, Vivian, Lillian, Cybil, Vera and Jude; and his brothers, Brian Buis (Janel) of Fulton and Lyle Buis (Chris) of Fulton.
