It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Garnett R. Stevens (Rock Falls, Illinois), born in Virginia, Illinois, who passed away on July 3, 2018, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stephens and Mamie Stephens (Hicks); and his sisters, Helen Neal and Janice Burress. He is survived by: his wife Mary Stevens of Rock Falls; his children, Barbara Beswick (Bill) of Morrison, Garnett Ray Stevens, Rock Falls, Ronnie E. Stevens of Morrison, Lisa Vanderlaan (Darwin) of Morrison and Theresa Stevens (Mary) of Sterling; his stepchildren, Rose Cooper of Nashville, Joe Aldridge of Jonesboro, Joyce Anderson of Nashville, Ruth Musellman of Fla, Chuck Aldridge of Rock Falls, David Aldridge of Rock Falls and Richard Aldridge of Morris; his sister Shelva J. Kelly; and his brother-in-law Kenneth Burress of Prophetstown. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and three great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
