He was predeceased by: his parents, Patrocinio Ramirez and Maria Ramirez (Arteaga); his wife Esperanza "Hope"; and his siblings, Miguel Ramirez, Martin Ramirez, Elvida Ramirez and Trinidad Ramirez.
He is survived by: his daughters, Enedina Batten (James) of Tampico, Linda Mendoza of Tampico, Cruzita Toppert (Bryan) of Rock Falls and Sandra Ramirez of Rock Falls; his sister Teresa Villareal of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Katie Garcia, Alex Batten (Marita), Olivia-Hope Toppert, Jimmy Batten (Heather) and Jessica Boss (Troy); and his great grandchildren, Nate, Sonny, Lyli, Govanni, Reagan, Dean, Alexis, Alyssa, Kaden, Madison and Nico. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
