She was predeceased by: her siblings, LaVern, Charles, Walter Peterson, Mildred Heuser, Ethlyn Stirler and Ermal Davey.
She is survived by: her parents, Walter Peterson and Minnie F. Peterson (Gienap); her spouse Joseph F. Scharfenberg; her children, Christine M. Knisley of Rock Falls and Michael Scharfenberg (Carolyn) of Sterling; and her grandchildren, Jennifer Uziel (Brian), Stephen Feary (Amy), Charles Feary, Michael Feary (Kelly) and Tom Feary (Kim).
In lieu of flowers, memorials to: Hospice of the Rock River Valley; St. Mary Catholic Church, American Cancer Society and Gaffey Hospice.
