We are sad to announce that on June 29, 2020, at the age of 78, Davie Garnett Hughes of Rock Falls, Illinois, born in Liberty, Kentucky passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Kelly Hughes; his former wife Theresa A. Sutton; his children, Regina Fry and Dale Hughes; his siblings, Laverne, Ruby, Hollis and Johnnie; and his grandson Jimmie Schultz.
He is survived by: his mother Stacha Hughes (Burchell) of Ky; his wife Suzann Hughes of Rock Falls; his sons, Kelly Hughes of Fla and Jeffrey Hughes of Rock Falls; his stepsons, Donnie Lathrop of Rock Falls, Daniel Lathrop (Lisa) of Ariz, Eric Lathrop (Amy) of Texas and Kristopher Young (Jenna) of Calif; and his sisters, Sandra of Ky, Patty of Ky, Vicky of Fla and Deborah of Ky. He is also survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Due to COVID-19 guidelines, face masks are required to enter the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established to St. Mary Catholic Church in Sterling.
