It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dean V. Simmer of Rock City, Illinois, born in Freeport, Illinois, who passed away on September 24, 2022, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Vernon Simmer and Hedy Simmer (Untersee); and his brother David. He is survived by: his wife Diane Lawson of Rock City, IL; his sons, Ryan Simmer (Christy) of Rock City, IL, Travis (Bronwyn) of Plover, WI and Eric Simmer (Emily) of Davis, IL; his sister Nancy Mortimer (Rod) of Rock City, IL; and his grandchildren, Tyler, Hannah, Kelsey, Carver, Grant, Leo and Olivia.
A memorial has been established in Dean's memory.
