He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert A. Baum and Karen Baum Sr. (Scheffers). He is survived by: his wife Joni; his stepson Dan Koester of Rock City; his brother Ken Baum (Denise) of Rockford; his mother-in-law Jaculyn Niesman of Rock City; his sisters-in-law, Trudy Lichty of Pecatonica, Pam Femrite (Philip) of Beloit, WI, Connie Barr (Roger) of Morrison and Vicki Chamberlin (Mark) of Waterford, WI.; his nieces and nephews, Bob Barr (Libby), Ryan Hille, Denelle Gordon (Bennie Jr.), Jacob Denekas (Kate), James Denekas, Nick Haas, Holly Davis (Pershaun), Wesley Steinke, Michael Baum (Tabitha), Caden Baum, Aliceya Tartaglia (David) and Jon Jerome (Ashley); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Keegan, Maverick, Vaughn and Corbin Barr.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two uncles, Richard Scheffers and Richard Baum as well as his niece, Amy Barr A memorial has been established in his name.
