He was predeceased by: his parents, John Walter and Lillian Walter (Rhoades); his siblings, Dorothy Perrine, Ruth Green, Barbara Hunter, Evelyn Walter and Lester Walter; and his stepdaughter Sandra March.
He is survived by: his wife Shaun Shrum; his stepdaughters, Susan Walsh (George) of Missouri and Debe Buck (late Doug) of Charleston, SC; his granddaughter Brittany Mendenhall (Lee); his great grandchildren, Wesley and Emma; and his siblings, Deloris Barber (Bert), Ellen Ahrens (Gary) and Richard Walter (Joan). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
