He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Cox and Thedelma Cox (Gray); his siblings, Kenneth "Butch" Cox, Sylvia Chezem and Pam Nevins; his niece Melissa Cox; and his nephew David Frederick.

He is survived by: his wife Ruth Eddington; his children, Carrie Bradley (Tom), Craig Cox (Tracy) and Corey Cox (Stephanie); his grandchildren, Kaylee, Kelsey, Brady, Lainey, Macey, Caden, Brayden, Kayli, Bryson and Faith; his great grandchildren, Nathan "Nate" and Emery; and his siblings, Jim Cox (Linda) and Penny Dunlevy (Bryan). He is also survived by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
