With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Patrick Dean Barbaro of Rochester, Illinois, born in Marion, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 30, 2024 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Barbaro and Fern Barbaro (Hartwell); his granddaughter Jackie York; his stepgrandson Donavan Kennedy; and his brother Frank Barbaro.
He is survived by: his wife Susan M. Barbaro of Rochester, IL; his children, Greg Allen Barbaro of Marion, IL and Beth Ann York of Nashville, TN; his stepchildren, Mark Watson (Diane) of Rochester, IL and Kelly Kennedy (Kurt) of Rochester, IL; his grandson Dustin Marks (Lisa) of O'Fallon, IL; his great grandchild Kylah Marks of O'Fallon, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Thea Taylor (Ryan) of Rochester, IL, Tyler Watson (Christi) of Springfield, IL, Reed Watson (Ellie) of Chatham, IL, Drew Swales (Kelly) of Springfield, IL, Gage Swales (Barbara) of Springfield, IL, Dakota Kennedy of St. Louis, MO and Eli Kennedy of Springfield, IL; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Lane Taylor of Petersburg, IL, Paiton Rechner of Rochester, IL, Millie Taylor of Rochester, IL, Cora Swales of Springfield, IL and Calvin Swales of Springfield, IL; and his sister Judy Kay of Carterville, IL. He is also survived by other extended family and many friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilson-McReynolds Funeral Home (900 N Court St, Marion, IL 62959).
For those who prefer, the family suggests memorial contributions be directed to the "St. Jude Children's Hospital.".
