He was predeceased by: his father Robert Beals; and his brother Mark Beals. He is survived by: his mother Frances Beals (Goeckner); his siblings, Julie Kilby (Scott) and Jeff Beals (Kim); and his nephews, Seth, Bradyn and Mitchell Kilby. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins.
