He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry C. Rasmussen and Ella Rasmussen (Bolhaus); and his siblings, Roger, Dale, William, Marvin, Harlan Rasmussen, Betty Parsley and Eula Fay Friday.
He is survived by: his wife Velma Rasmussen of Rochelle; his children, Steve Rasmussen of Rochelle and Beverly Moore (Larry) of Rockford, IL; his grandchildren, Emily Brown, Ashley Rasmussen (Brendan Mckelvey), Allison Vander Heyden (Josiah) and Patrick Moore; his great grandchildren, Haylie, Milaena, Everett and Desmond; and his sister Darlene Stratton of Warrenville, IL..
