He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Leo Messer and Vivian Messer (Landis); his wife Carol Johnson; his children, Michael Messer (Sandra Orozco) of Walterboro, SC, Michelle Moroney (Mike) of Rochelle and Jennifer Hill of Burlington, WI; and his brother Melvin Messer (Judy) of Rochelle. He was also cherished by nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
