He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Macklin and Gertrude Macklin (Kugler); his siblings, Wayne Macklin and Betty Sanders; and his great grandchild John "Jack" Macklin.
He is survived by: his wife Elsie Macklin of Rochelle; his children, Todd Macklin (Rebecca) of Dixon, IL, Terry Macklin (Bonnie) of Steward, IL and Teresa Friday (Craig) of Ashton, IL; and his grandchildren, Angella Horton (Kyle), Andrew Macklin (Kate), Nathanial Macklin (Jessica), Lucas Macklin (Angela), Lovely Macklin, Hope Rahn (James), Grace Guerra (Trevor) and Justin Friday. He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Ron's memory to the Rochelle United Methodist Church or Unity Hospice.
