It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Reuben Lee Capes (Rochelle, Illinois), who passed away on January 18, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Lorenzo G. Capes and Leona "Mabel" Capes (Shelton); his wife Lillie Mae Wilson; and his siblings, Orville, Lawrence, Ray, Emmett Capes and Laura Swick.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rhonda O'Rorke (Pete) of Amboy and Christina Warner of Rochelle; his siblings, Leon Capes of Oregon, IL, Lorenzo Capes of Rockford, IL, Duane Capes of Rochelle, Norma Atkinson of Ashton, IL, Leona Tapp of Lindenwood, IL and Judy Zarr of Bethalto, IL; his grandchildren, Brandi McBride (Pat), Peter O'Rorke, Amanda O'Rorke, Katie O'Rorke (Michael) and Jeffrey Warner (Jessica); and his great grandchildren, Liam, Kieran, Esam, William, Leylani, Lauryn and Olivia.
