It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nancy Govig (Rochelle, Illinois), born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on May 17, 2020, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milo Heitmanek and LaVergne Heitmanek (Lehmann); her brother Rick Heitmanek; and her parents-in-law, John L. and Helen Govig of Creston.
She is survived by: her husband John D. Govig; her daughters, Karen Savage of Boston, MA, Julie Carrion (Dave) of Sterling, IL and Jill Kane (Richard) of Versailles, KY; her grandchildren, Amanda, Alexis, Andrew, Aiesha Savage and Isaac Carrion; and her pet Odie.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Nancy's memory to the English as a Second Language program at First Presbyterian Church.
