He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Austin and Ella Austin; his sister Kathleen Garner; and his brothers-in-law, Norris Garner and Kenneth Gray.
He is survived by: his wife Marian Lorraine Penrose; his children, Sharon Miller (Larry), Patricia Austin-Nyquist (Keith) and Scott Austin (Diane); and his sister Eva Gray.
