He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. Hay and Grace Hay (Arnold); his sons, John Edwin and Mike Hay; and his siblings, Robert, William, James, Jean Clifton, Mary Loomis, Ruth and Lawrence.
He is survived by: his wife Florence May Donovan; his children, Richard Hay (Valerie) of Longmont, CO, Rose Foster (William) of Stanley, NM and Joanne Storey (William) of Rochelle; his sister Grace Blitzblau of DeKalb, IL; and his grandchildren, Sean Hay (Joe Markovich), Jim Hay (Cassie), Michael Hay (Stephanie), Jonathan Hay (Kim), Jason Hay (Heather), Daniel Foster, Amanda Peterson (Charles), Joanna Moreno (Steve), Samantha Reed (Paul), Thomas N. Thompson and Michael Thompson (Erica). He is also survived by 24 great grandchildren and one great great-granddaughter.
