He was predeceased by: his parents, C. B. James and Jimmie Lea James (Connelly); his daughter Ashli Ann James; his siblings, Bill James, Barbara White and Beverly James; and his brother-in-law Elden Mason.
He is survived by: his pet Sunny; his wife Joyce Mason James; his children, Megan Brittany James of Long Beach, CA and David James; his siblings, Bob James (Mary Helen) of Centerville, TN and Brenda Robinson (Grant) of Hendsersonville, TN; and his siblings-in-law, Howard Mason (Bobbie) of Hilliard, FL and Bella Mason of Norwood, OH. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
