He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Spring and Nellie Spring (Nicholson); his daughter Velda Harris; his son-in-law Tony Simms; and his siblings, Fred, Alvin, Ernest and Annie.
He is survived by: his wife Francine Brown; his daughters, Veda Simms (late Tony) of Milan, IN and Vickie Taylor (Barry) of DeKalb, IL; his grandchildren, Barry (Taylor, II) of Scottsville, KY, Susie Thompson (Jeff) of Scottsville, KY, Abigail Harris (Colton Moore) of Scottsville, KY, James Harris (Cindy) of Rochelle, IL, Meredith Harris of Rochelle, IL, Joseph Simms (Angie) of Rochelle, IL, Chad Simms (Ashley) of Rochelle, IL and Joshua Simms of Milan, IN; his sisters, Velma Spring of Ava, MO and Mildred Provost of Springfield, MO; and his son-in-law Noel Harris of Arkansas. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
