James Peters Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Peters (Rochelle, Illinois), who passed away on November 13, 2020 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Peters and Margaret Peters; his former spouse L. Christine Stone; his sister Virginia Colby; and his nieces and nephews, Gary and Thomas Peters.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Peters; his sons, Rev. David Peters (Jacalyn) of Rancho Cucamonga and Joseph Peters (Dawn) of Rochelle; his daughter-in-law Joanne Peters of Clermont, FL; his stepchildren, Kim Salsbury (Randall) of Rochelle, IL and Kent Lawson (Terri) of Danville, CA; and his brother Donald Peters (Peggy) of Homosassa, FL. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 7 step grandchildren, and 24 great grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, November 19, 2020 from 5- 7 pm with Jim's Urn and memorabilia present, but due to Covid restrictions, there will be no family to greet.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Rochelle Fire Department, First Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge, Golden K's or Northern Illinois Tres Dias.
