He was predeceased by: his father James Shannon; his brother Roger Shannon; and his brothers-in-law, Howard Suddeth and Tom Doughty. He is survived by: his mother Celesta Reed; his stepson Jason Moline (Sarah); his stepgrandchildren, Molly and Hank Moline; and his siblings, Jim Shannon (Athena), Gary Shannon (Connie), Mary Suddeth, Vicki Doughty, Sally Ranken (Lyle) and Mike Shannon (Christen). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and his four cats.

Contributions in Greg's memory may be directed to an animal shelter of the donor's choice.
