As we bid adieu to Fortunata's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Fortunata has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Nicola Covelli and Maria Bonofiglio Covelli; her husband Gaetano "Tony" Cassola; her son Joseph (Gaetano); and her sister Rosa Covelli Pattarino.
She is survived by: her daughter Mary; and her brothers, Franco Covelli of Bari and Rocco Covelli of Milano, Italy. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Unger-Horner Funeral Home (400 N 6th St, Rochelle, IL 61068). A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, April 21st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Patrick Catholic Church (236 Kelley Dr, Rochelle, IL 61068).
