She was predeceased by: her parents, Earl Barnhart and Caroline Barnhart (Brachle) of Steward; her husband Harold R. Burkhart; her children, Keith and Sharon Reed (Melton); and her siblings, Sonny Barnhart and Lorraine Cote (Kehm).
She is survived by: her son Dennis Burkhart (Angela) of Steward; her grandchildren, Brett Melton, Ross Melton, Quint Burkhart (Melinda), Chad Burkhart, Amy Johnson (Scott) and Zack Burkhart; and her close friend Dave Yocum. She is also survived by nine great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Doris's memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church or to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2211 N. Oak Park Ave., Chicago, IL 60707.
