She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Kempton and Violet Kempton (Welch); and her husband Hershel D. "Jack" Byrd. She is survived by: her godsons, Elisha Byrd (Anita) and William Byrd; and her siblings-in-law, Marsha, Dean and Ernie (Stacy). She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
