He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard P. "Tom" McKeighen and Zelma McKeighen (Heath); and his brother James Mark McKeighen. He is survived by: his siblings, Debby Hayden of Robinson, IL and David McKeighen of Robinson, IL; his nieces, Michelle Brown of Darien, IL, Susanne, Jamie Hoben of Joliet, IL, Amy and Erin Sikorski of Indianapolis, IN; his nephew Tommy McKeighen of Moreno, CA; his great-nephew Jack Brown; and his great-niece Charlotte Sikorski.
