He was predeceased by: his former wife Jacqueline J. Stifle; his wife Lois Simms (Noblitt); his parents, Roy Voorheis and Mary "Pearl" Voorheis (Sackrider); his sister Lois M. Prather; and his grandson John Bousquet.
He is survived by: his children, Vanessa Marie (Les Midgett) of Robinson, IL, John Stephen Voorheis of Robinson, IL, Janice Lea Bousquet of Nashville, TN and Rebecca Jeanne Voorheis of Robinson, IL; his grandchildren, Paula Newman, Matt Midgett, Janna Malone, Jacque Bousquet, Jade Bousquet and Jannel McFarland; his stepchildren, Jeri Gayle Masters of Midway, UT, Joni Johnson of Saint Maries, ID and Jeffrey Simms of Bothell, WA; his nephews, Mark Prather of Urbana, IL and Jim Prather of Urbana, IL; and his niece Dr. Dee Dee Brookhart of Robinson, IL. He is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren.
In honor of this mission-driven man, memorials may be made to "Highland Church of Christ", and any donations will be used to support its mission partners throughout the world.
