He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles L. McKinney and Delores McKinney; and his stepson Jeremy Correll. He is survived by: his wife Melanie "Mel" McKinney; his son Jesse; his daughter-in-law Abby McKinney; his stepdaughter Stephanie; his son-in-law Rick VanSchoyck; his grandchildren, Chance Love, MacKenzie Love and Kayden McKinney; his great grandchild Daisy Jean Love; his close friend Lulu; his brothers, Don McKinney (Mary) and Jerry Wayne McKinney (Ron Dean); and his siblings-in-law, Jim Shaffer, Robin and Brian Thompson.
Memorial contributions may be made to "Elks Lodge #1188" or to the "Robinson City Parks Department"—two organizations that reflect Jim's enduring love for his community and the quiet service he gave so freely.
