He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Jones and Twila Jones (Wheat); and his brothers, Harold Jones and Russell Jones. He is survived by: his wife Polly Jones; his daughters, Lori Jones, Karen Nussmeier of Terre Haute, IN and Angela Lawhead of Terre Haute, IN; his grandchildren, Zach Lawhead, Emily Clark, Logan Lawhead and Austin Lawhead; his great grandchild Amara Lawhead; his son-in-law Jerry Lawhead; his aunts, Virginia Stark and Marvine Wheat; his sister-in-law Vivian Jones; and his caregiver Tammy Cherry. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to the "Crawford County Humane Society", with memorial envelopes available at the funeral home.
