He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Rice and Edith 'Edie L. Rice (Hoover); his brother Gary Rice; his mother-in-law Hazel Steffey; and his brother-in-law Dwight Rose.
He is survived by: his wife Jeanne Steffey; his children, Heather Rice of Flat Rock and Justin Rice (Stacey) of Terre Haute, Indiana; his brother George Rice (Beth) of Robinson, Illinois; his grandchildren, Skylar Stout, Lane Rice and Luna Rice; his father-in-law Mandell Steffey of Flat Rock, Illinois; and his siblings-in-law, Neal Steffey (Sandy) of Palestine, David Steffey (Jill) of Brookville, Ohio and Janet Rose of Columbus, Indiana. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Birds Free Methodist Church.
