She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Mercer; her parents, Austin Janes and Mary Janes (Sheppard); and her siblings, Clarence Janes (Annie), Gerald Janes, Annie Stone (Ches) and Doris Bishop (Herbert).
She is survived by: her son Wilfred Mercer (Gwen); her grandchildren, Carolyn Warford (Trent) and Chris Mercer (Twila); her great grandchildren, Claire and Brayden; her siblings, Vera Neil (Ray) and Melvin Janes (Ruby); and her sister-in-law Olive Janes.
In lieu of flowers, as expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Ella Mercer Memorial Fund in aid of St. Peter's Anglican Church.
