He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Hodel and Thelma Fehr Hodel; and his brother-in-law Larry Neukomm. He is survived by: his wife Elaine Kempf; his children, Marilyn McClure (Jeff) and Dan Hodel (Justine); his sister Sharon Neukomm; and his grandchildren, Amanda Hernandez (Adrian), Austin McClure (Rachel), Clint McClure (Emily Moses), Codee Keever (Joel), Jordan Hodel (Anna), Maddie Merritt (Kolton), Grant Hodel (Elissa) and Sam Hodel (Carrie).
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM at the Liberty Bible Church (1408 Church Rd, Eureka, IL 61530). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 26th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Roanoke Township Cemetery (509 Husseman St, Roanoke, IL 61561).
Memorial contributions may be made to Liberty Bible Church or the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke.
