He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pfister and Elizabeth Gudeman Pfister; his son-in-law Dennis Schwind; and his siblings, Harvey, Lester, Alvin Pfister, Ada, Ann, Dorothy, Lois, Leona Pfister, Irma Luginbuhl and Mabelle Rauhaus.
He is survived by: his children, Steve Pfister (Linda) of Roanoke, Rita Schwind of Eureka, Donna Schwind (Dan) of Secor and Mike Pfister of Roanoke; his sister Pearl Miller of Oregon; and his grandchildren, Andy Pfister (Lindsey), Jamie Wyne (Tim), Kevin Pfister, Laura Heintz (Jarrett), Tim Schwind (Brittany), Kristen Schwind, Jason Schwind, Jeff Schwind, Megan Stevens (Josh), Brian Schwind (Rebekah) and Alex Pfister. He is also survived by 15 great grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke or to Peoria Rescue Ministries.
