With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John J. McEldowney of Roanoke, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 8, 2025 at the age of 77. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of John J. McEldowney to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. McEldowney and Phyllis LaConte McEldowney; his son Donnie McEldowney; and his siblings, Phyllis McEldowney and William "Billy" McEldowney.
He is survived by: his daughters, Dana Hudnall of Roanoke and Marrissa Culp of Seattle, WA; his brother Ralph McEldowney (Penny) of Creve Coeur; his grandchildren, Gavin and Ella Culp; his nephew Ralph McEldowney Jr.; and his niece Kristina Hand.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Knapp-Johnson-Harris Funeral Home (204 W Husseman St, Roanoke, IL 61561). A celebration of life was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Roanoke-Benson Hope Center or to the St. Joseph Catholic Church.
