It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jacob T. Christner of Roanoke, Illinois, born in Shelbyville, Illinois, who passed away on September 19, 2024, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe D. Christner and Emma Christner (Eigsti); his wife Nora Jane Hostetler; and his grandson Ethan Jacob. He is survived by: his children, Michael Christner (late Susan) of Lowpoint, IL, Jeremy Christner (Denise) of South Wayne, WI, Jenny Ulrich (Eric) of Washburn, IL and Marlin Christner (Joyce) of Benson, IL; and his sisters, Gloria Christner of Roanoke, IL, Barbara Hostetler (late Ervin) of Roanoke, IL and Emily Kennell (late Kenneth) of Sarasota, FL.. He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 22nd 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the North Linn Amish Mennonite Church (1794 County Rd 1500 E, Roanoke, IL 61561). A funeral service will be held on Monday, September 23rd 2024 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to North Linn Amish Mennonite Church or the Apostolic Christian Home of Roanoke, 1102 West Randolph Street, Roanoke, IL 61561.
