She was predeceased by: her parents, Carlos A. Carter and Essie M. Bowman Carter; her husband William L. Cooper, Jr.; her brother Billy Ray Carter; and her son Carlos Cooper.

She is survived by: her son William Cooper, III of Riverton; her grandchildren, Isabella Cooper of Riverton, William Cooper, IV (Celina) of Clarksville, TN, Noah M. Young of Taylorville and Brooks Cooper of Riverton; and her brothers, Rick Carter (Trish) of Springfield and Ronald Carter (Deborah) of Springfield. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
