He was predeceased by: his parents, Pietro Papili and Rosa Papili (Morigi); his wife Eletra Papili (Mastroddi); and his brothers, August, Luigi, Marino and Leno.
He is survived by: his children, Giovanni Papili, Jr. of Riverton, Mario Papili (Stephanie) of Spaulding, Kathy Doerfler (Greg) of Springfield and Lisa Papili of Riverton; his grandsons, Nicholas and Joseph Doerfler; and his stepgranddaughter Suzette Cribbett. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
