He was predeceased by: his parents, Rollie Roderick and Marie L. Schweizer Roderick; his wife Mary Helen Bell; his sister Helen Boyer; and his stepson Tim Hester.
He is survived by: his children, Tom Roderick of Hollywood, FL, Gail Parsons of Auburn, IL and Cindy Tapscott-Snyder (Maurice) of Springfield; and his grandchildren, Melissa Lucas (Will), Tami Tapscott-Jones (Alan), Rebecca Schriver (Bryan), David Tapscott (Courtney), Heather Parsons, Ben Tapscott (Maria), Jameson Tapscott and Kendra Monts. He is also survived by eighteen great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
