In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Riverside Firefighters Association or the Riverside Historical Commission, 27 Riverside Rd., Riverside, IL 60546.

“In loving memory of Bill, a truly generous, open-hearted man. Bill drew people together wherever he went. He and Jake were the Co-Mayors of Riverside’s unofficial dog park. Full of good humor and patience, he could settle any dog sparring match in a minute. Whether talking hockey, Riverside history, the Des Plaines River, or running and knee issues, Bill was a joy to talk with. I looked forward to seeing him at Swan Pond and always loved running into him by the firehouse. Deepest condolences.”
