He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Borlick and Mary Borlick; and his sister Joan "Joanie" Hofstede. He is survived by: his siblings, Nancy Mersch (Jeff), Louis (Jill) and James; his nephews, Daniel (Jessica) and David Hofstede (Jennifer); his niece Marissa Mersch; his great-nephews, Max, Jake and Anthony Hofstede; his great-niece Olivia; his children, Jessica (Patrick) and Michael Willer (Amy); and his grandchildren, Alexandra, Mikey, Christopher and Alyssa.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Ivins-Moravecek Funeral Home (80 E Burlington St, Riverside, IL 60546).
